Whether it’s trying to keep a fridge running overnight, squeezing in a quick coffee in the morning, or making sure a heater doesn’t drain everything before sunrise — off-grid power is always a balancing act.

That’s exactly why I built EZ Watts.

I didn’t set out to create an app at first. I was just trying to solve a problem I kept running into during my own van life setup. Every time I added a new device or changed how long I used something, I had to mentally juggle watts, hours, and battery capacity. And honestly? It got old fast. I wanted a simple way to know, not guess.

So I created a tool that does exactly that.

With EZ Watts, the process is simple. I select my power station — whether it’s something from a major brand or a custom setup — and then I add the devices I plan to use. Maybe it’s a 12V fridge running all day, a USB fan for a few hours, and a kettle for a quick boil. Then I set my battery level to match what I actually have at that moment.

From there, the app does the heavy lifting.
